If there is one thing that characterises every new Limboos record, it is surprise. The band has not ceased to come up with fresh ideas since they first shook the panorama, like a cocktail, with their "Mambo Espacial". However, with their fourth album, 'Off The Loop' (Penniman Records, 2024), they set out along a new path that underlines their restless, non-conformist search for their own sound.

How might we define 'Off the Loop'? The nine tracks and 35 minutes that go to make up the album, produced by Martín García Duque, reflect this broadness of vision: finely woven lysergic passages, baroque pop and psychodelia, blended with cinematographic atmospheres, “humming” guitars and galactic synthesizers. There are reminiscences of Lee Hazlewood and Scott Walker, and also of a Iggy Pop and Dan Auerbach. In short, the Limboos sound has arrived at a place you would never have suspected.
